Final Fantasy XIII-2 is the direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII. Three years after the events of the previous game, Lightning is presumed to be dead and the world is slowly being rebuilt. Serah encounters a mysterious man named Noel who claims that Lightning is alive. The two of them embark on a time traveling quest as they seek to find her.
